Mumbai , July 25

K Sera Sera Productions Ltd, a new entrant into film making, is expected to end the current fiscal with a turnover of Rs 25 crore, this coming from its three film projects scheduled for the year.

K Sera Sera Productions Ltd, now a listed company following its takeover of an existing listed company, Garnet Paper Mills, is poised to make a full-fledged entry into the world of Bollywood with the release of its first film, Darna Mana Hai.

The fact that the multi-starrer is a co-production with Varma Corporation, owned by filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, is an indication that K Sera Sera Productions will look at co-productions in the area of film making.

The film produced at a cost of Rs 6 crore has an array of actors including Nana Patekar, Vivek Oberoi, Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, Aftab Shivdasani, Raghuvir Yadav, Sanjay Kapoor and Boman Irani.

According to Mr Parag Sanghavi, President and CEO, the company resorted to an innovative marketing approach without using the star cast.

The second film, Ab Tak Chappan, is complete to the extent of 70 per cent and is slated for an October 2003 release. "We should be able to release three films this fiscal," said Mr Ash Pamani, Chairman, K Sera Sera. He along with Mr Sanghavi are the promoters of the company owning 65 per cent of its equity holding.

The company is also looking at television production and has completed a telefilm, Thakaan, which is a spoof on the film Lagaan. This telefilm was commissioned by Sahara Manoranjan. This is going to be reflected in the company's turnover of the first quarter ended June 2003.

The company is looking at a revenue mix of 70 per cent from films and 30 per cent from television software.
