Tata Infotech posts Rs 12-cr net in Q1

TATA Infotech has turned around to post a net profit of Rs 12.02 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2002, as compared to a net loss of Rs 1.13 crore suffered in the previous corresponding quarter.

The revenue earned grew 41 per cent to Rs 138.19 crore from Rs 97.90 crore in the period under review.

The manufacturing and systems integration divisions contributed substantially to the growth in this quarter's revenue and profits.

While the manufacturing services division earned a net profit of Rs 6.88 crore (Rs 3.88 crore) on revenues of Rs 21.71 crore (Rs 9.86 crore), the systems integration division earned a net profit of Rs 4.84 crore (Rs 4.03 crore) on revenues of Rs 105.71 crore (Rs 81.96 crore) in the same period.
