Reliance to look into Pioneer subscribers' woes

V. Rishi Kumar

Hyderabad , Aug. 1

IN the backdrop of a super-hit Hungama offer wherein Reliance Infocomm added over a million subscribers in July alone, the company has assuaged feeling of some of the customers of the Pioneer offer who expressed concern about changes in certain terms including pulse rate.

Responding to Business Line queries recently on some customers concerns about the Pioneer offer, the Reliance officials said "Dirubhai Ambani Pioneer customers are our highly valued early bird customers. We are keen to address these customers individually if required. Our customer care centre is the suitable point to meet them and address their grievances."

While Pioneer users contended they had been denied the promised 15 second pulse rate, Reliance said that "With the implementation of the IUC regime by TRAI, Reliance was also forced to revise the pulse rate to 60 seconds."

"Reliance always encourages its customers to use its services for a longer period. However, if any customer decides to exit any of the schemes, he is free to do so as he has no binding on us. The terms and conditions of the exit are clearly mentioned in the brochures made available to customers before they opt for our connectivity. The choice of migration is always available for a customer to make it convenient for him."
