MUMBAI: Network Associates Inc, a provider of computer security solutions, has launched the McAfee IntruShield 1200, a solution that extends network intrusion detection and prevention solutions to mid-size and branch office networks.

The company also launched the McAfee Entercept 4.1 software, a host-based system intrusion prevention solution for the enterprise.

According to an official statement, the Intrushield family of products provides protection for bandwidth needs ranging from tens of MBPS to 2 GBPS and provides comprehensive enterprise-wide protection from the network core to the perimeter and branch offices.

McAfee Entercept 4.1 facilitates the evolution to intrusion prevention easy with improved installation and tuning capabilities, enabling administrators to adjust security levels as business demands change.
