AirTel `012' for pre-paid too

CHENNAI: AirTel, one of the cellular service providers in Chennai, has extended its 012 post-paid plan to its pre-paid customers. The `Prepaid 012' plan, as in the post-paid, offers zero charges on incoming calls, Re one on mobile to mobile local outgoing calls, and Rs two for mobile to mobile STD calls anywhere across India, according to an AirTel press release.

Pre-paid customers on this plan can call any GSM mobile in Tamil Nadu for Re one. Night time charges (between 11 p.m. and 8 a.m.) to any phone is Re one, the release says. Under the pre-paid 012 plan, there is a plan processing fee of Rs 10 per day.

All new customers can buy any Magic starter pack and type `012' and send an SMS to 210 to opt for this plan. Existing customers can also migrate to this plan by typing the same SMS, according to the release.
