CII to host marketing summit next week

WELL-known figures from the marketing world are expected to attend the fourth Marketing Summit `03, organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), on August 20-21. Over 500 marketing professionals will attend the two-day summit and the theme for this year's event is "Battling for Market Share." The event will also cover some topical areas in the country such as `Going Rural:

The New Marketing Mantra'; `Battling for Events: the role of sponsorship'; `Brands - "Anti Wrinkle Formula"'; `"Share of Heart" into "Share Of Wallet"'; `Segmentation - "Divide & Rule"'- New concepts from McDonalds, HLL and ORG-Marg and `Fight for Freebies'.

The summit will be addressed by Mr Sanjiv Gupta, President & CEO, Coca-Cola India; Mr Carlo Donati, CMD, Nestle India; Mr Vikram Bakshi, Managing Director, McDonalds, North India; Mr Adi Godrej, Chairman, Godrej Group; Ms Alison Copus, Marketing Director, Virgin Airlines; Mr Pawan Kant Munjal, Managing Director, Hero Honda Motors, and Mr K. Ramachandran, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, Philips India, among others.
