Weatherproof economy

This is with reference to "GDP growth may top 6 pc: RBI" and "Indian economy becoming weatherproof: RBI report" (Business Line, August 28).

The news items would have brought cheer to the trade and finance circles as also the Finance Ministry.

The projected recovery in agricultural output and the upturn in industrial and services sectors have triggered growth.

The observation that the agricultural sector should improve in respect of agro-processing and agro-based industries should attract the urgent attention of both the public and private sectors.
