SITHAR Engineers Pvt Ltd, a company located at the Kinfra Small Industries Park in the suburbs of the city, has launched a range of stainless steel doors that come with stainless steel frames.

Mr P.K. Kunhalikutty, State Minister for Industries and IT, launched the product and also made the first sale.

Businesses that develop such innovative and commercially viable products can look forward to support from the State Government, the Minister said.

The stainless steel doors are suitable for use in different environments, but are especially suited to places such as hospitals, hotels and other commercial buildings, said a company official. The doors are manufactured to fit standard modular openings of 80 cm and 90 cm and are priced between Rs 6,800 and Rs 7,100 based on size, the official added. Besides, the company is also willing to manufacture customised stainless steel doors to meet the requirements of individual customers, he added.

The doors are reported to be able to withstand rough conditions, are water resistant and easy to maintain. According to the company, the product is also rust-free and resistant to most chemicals.
