New Delhi , Aug. 28

COMPUTING giant, Hewlett-Packard (HP) on Thursday launched a new laptop computer, `nx9000 advantage' which is wireless-enabled through the adoption of wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology.

Priced at Rs 96,000, the new computer was designed to cater to the needs of executives and professionals who want to access the Internet while on the move, HP officials said here at a press conference.

Internet access is possible when an individual is located within 100 metres of a base station, commonly known as `hot spot'.

In India, there are about 100 hot spots, mostly in hotels and office blocks.
