Call to network hospitals

Our Bureau

CHENNAI: e-Information systems, Security and Audit Association (eISA), Southern Regional Council, has urged the Tamil Nadu Government to network all the 11,000 hospitals in the State.

The networking will help doctors to diagnose rural patients in consultation with experts in urban centres, caution the rural people about symptoms for any disease outbreak and move medicines quickly. It will also help develop a health data.

The networking will cost around Rs 60 crore, and the World Bank was willing to fund such projects, Mr R. Ramamurthy, Vice-Chairman, eISA, has said at a seminar here, according to an association press release.
