IOC campaign to promote premium petrol

THE Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC) has launched a campaign styled `bagful of offers' from September 1 in association with select retail outlets dealing with a range of products in Coimbatore as part of its promotional effort to market its new product - IOC Premium (Petrol) — and its customer rewards programme — `IOC xtra'.

IOC claims that its premium petrol is the country's `only 91 octane petrol' that was doped with `performance-enhancing additives'. The company said this product was launched in the city in June this year and the response from the customers has been good.

The `IOC xtra' is a rewards programme for the cash customers who have to purchase an `IOC xtra' smart card at a nominal cost. For fuel purchases made at the IOC outlets, they would earn rewards points and the customers also would get an accident insurance cover up to Rs 1 lakh on procuring this card. This card is valid nationally at select IOC outlets at present but would be introduced in all IOC outlets in a phased manner.

The `bagful of offers' scheme is applicable to vehicle owners purchasing IOC Premium Petrol for a minimum value or purchase of `IOC extra' card and they would get discounts on purchase of various products for which the IOC has tied up with several leading retail outlets in the city dealing with products ranging from sweets to watches and consumer electronic goods.

IOC also launched a range of additives in collaboration with Total of France-Servo Adon P for petrol and Servo Adon D for diesel vehicles.

Ms R. Nandini, Managing Partner, Chandra Hyundai, Coimbatore, launched the promotional campaign, which will run till the end of this month, in the presence of Mr C. Venkatesh Kumar, Senior Divisional Retail Sales Manager, IOC, Coimbatore on Monday evening.
