Coimbatore , Sept. 8 VETRI Software Ltd, an early player in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) space is planning to enter into adjudication level work for the insurance companies and the finance vertical in a big way. This offshore development centre at Chennai has since inception in 1993 catered to overseas clients, most of them located in the US. It established a niche for itself in BPO verticals such as healthcare insurance claims processing, logistics, litigation support and e-books. The Michigan-based Lason Incorporation acquired Vetri Software in 1999. The company has since been contemplating to expand its service portfolio based on the requirements of its clients. In the process, the parent company Lason, is understood to have expressed its intention to invest $100 million, if increase in the existing infrastructure was required to meet future goals. Mr Pradeep Nevatia, Country Head and Vice-President (Operations) of Vetri Software, told Business Line that his company's contribution to the country's total BPO revenue was one per cent and close to four per cent of the revenue generated on account of the data capture work. The company has established three centres in Chennai and created more than 65 Business Associates (BAs) in and around Chennai, employing in all around 4,000 people. Apart from its sites in India Vetri, through Lason's offices in Mexico and China provides Disaster Recovery Management and Business Continuity Plan to its customers.
