The Hindu Business Line : Certification launched for real estate brokers

IN a bid to professionalise real estate selling, the National Real Estate Development Council (Naredco) has launched a certification programme for brokers.

The scheme has been developed in association with Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco).

"The three-week training programme aims at educating brokers on a host of critical issues including basic tax-related matters," the Naredco President, Mr Som Datt, said.

The training model has been developed in association with Human Settlement Management Institute of Hudco and aims at imparting specialised knowledge and skills to real estate agents in property laws, financial appraisal, brokerage and professional conduct.
