Malaysian co's arm to develop township at Mohali

IJM (India) Infrastructure Ltd (IJMIL), a 95-per cent subsidiary of IJM Corporation Berhad of Malaysia, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Punjab Government for developing an international township at Mohali, near Chandigarh.

The project, spread over an extent of 500 acres, envisages construction of luxury apartments, independent bungalows, swimming pools, utilities, multiplexes and open plots with greenery. Preliminary project cost is estimated to be Rs 1,300 crore to Rs 1,500 crore. It is expected to be completed in 7 to 8 years, according to a company press release here on Wednesday.

The Hyderabad-based IJMIL is currently executing a township here in joint venture with the Andhra Pradesh Housing Board.
