Discovery channel in pact with Idea Cellular

New Delhi , Sept. 18

INFOTAINMENT channel Discovery Communications has entered into a tie-up with Idea Cellular Ltd to launch a new series, titled Idea.

As part of this alliance, Discovery will create a 13-week series based on the brand proposition, Idea, which will feature fictional heroes, women who have made a mark, futurists and entertainment. Starting October 5, programmes on the Top Ten Comic Book Heroes, Discovering the Real World of Harry Potter, Parween Warsi — The Curry Queen, Las Vegas: Then and Now and Universal Studios Hollywood are to be featured in the segment.

Mr Sukanta Dey, Chief Marketing Officer & Commercial Officer, Idea Cellular Ltd, said, "Ideas change the way people live, work and play, which is our brand promise. Discovery and Idea are two sides of the same coin not only in concept but also in the way the channel operates, which is both enriching and engrossing."
