Intelivision gets licence for earth station, teleport

Chennai , Sept. 19

INTELIVISION Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Pentamedia Graphics, has received a licence from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to set up its own earth station and a teleport for uplinking five channels by hiring transponder space, according to Dr V.Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Pentamedia Graphics.

He was addressing reporters at the launch of the new programming of Splash, the channel run by the company. The teleport will be up and running by the end of the year. The channel is currently being Web cast on Numtv.com, a Web casting portal.
