New servers from Teradata

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Teradata, a division of NCR Corporation, is now shipping two new servers, the NCR 4980 server and the NCR 5380 server, which are designed to boost the power of the Teradata warehouse.

Responding to customer requests for enhanced data warehouse power and flexibility, the new NCR servers enable customers to create an optimal balance between improved storage and performance. According to a company statement here, customers may order a system that is configured to provide up to a 34 per cent performance improvement, which can be leveraged for faster response times, increased workloads or more users, or up to 40 per cent more storage capacity over the previous generation of servers.
