Convenor of e-Gov awards

MUMBAI: Mr R.K. Arora, Executive Director, Centre for the Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), has been appointed the Convenor of the CSI-Nihilent e-Governance Awards 2002-03.

Mr Anand Pathak, President, Computer Society of India (CSI), said: "We look forward to drawing upon Mr Arora's experience, both as initiator as well as the overseer of various e-governance projects, to make the event a success."

Mr Arora added: "The potential for growth in e-governance in India are massive and we can take this to greater heights by jointly working on programmes and strategies."
