New Delhi , Sept. 23

THE Petroleum Ministry has approved a raise in the distributor commission on domestic LPG cylinders.

In the case of a 14.2 kg cylinder, the raise is 38 paise, and in the case of a 5 kg cylinder 20 paise, according to an official release.

These changes will effectively raise the consumer price.

The new prices are effective from October 1.

Post-revision in rates, the commission on a 14.2-kg cylinder will be Rs 16.71 and that on a 5-kg cylinder Rs 8.60.
