The Hindu Business Line : Bangalore to host global light seminar in Nov

LEADING players in the lighting industry, including Philips, Osram, GE Lighting and K.Lite, will be participating in a two-day international seminar and exhibition to be held here in November. The event is being organised by the Karnataka State Centre of Indian Society of Lighting Engineers (ISLE).

The event slated for November 21 and 22 will provide a platform for exchange of information on new developments in lighting technology, innovative applications and technological development in the industry, said Mr K. Venugopal, Chairman of the Karnataka Centre of ISLE. Delegations from Japan, China, Australia, Germany and the US are expected to make presentations at the seminar.

Besides showcasing their latest light sources and new energy efficient and cost-effective luminaries, leading companies will also be projecting the "light of the future" at the exhibition.

Some products such as fibre optics, light emitting diodes and energy saving devices and solar lighting would be among the new products to be projected at the exhibition.
