The Hindu Business Line : CEOs' conclave in Kochi today

The Minister for Industries and IT, Mr P.K. Kunhalikutty, will address the gathering. The Chief Secretary and other senior officials also are participating.

The convergence of an elite gathering of decision makers both from within the country and outside would be an ideal opportunity for Kerala to showcase its core competencies in the IT and ITES and tourism sectors. Kerala was ranked as number 1 State in overall composite ranking by the CII earlier in May this year. This was followed by the ranking of Kochi by Nasscom as the number 2 ITES destination.

Lately, the World Development Report 2004 released on September 21, praised the State's achievements in education, health and other basic services.

Among those who are attending the conclave are Mr Mukesh Ambani, Mr Ajay Piramal, Capt Krishnan Nair, Mr Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Mr Rajan Mittal, Mr Gururaj Deshpande and Mr S.P Hinduja.
