HYDERABAD: Raga Ragini (garland of ragas), a set of paintings originating from the 15th & 16th century and depicting the significance of ragas in the collection of the Andhra Pradesh State Musuem will be on exhibition during September 26-28, as part of the World Tourism Day celebrations at the ITC Kakatiya Sheraton.

According to a Tourism Department release, most of the themes of the paintings are based on the Gita Govinda and Ramayana in the Basholi and Kangra Schools. Simultaneously, the Musuem would also display Persian, Urdu, Arabic and Hindu manuscripts during the period.
