The Hindu Business Line : Van Tex MD elected new SIMA chief

MR Vijay Venkataswamy, Managing Director of Van Tex Ltd, Coimbatore, has been elected chairman of the Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) for 2003-04 at the 44th annual general meeting of the association here.

Mr Venkataswamy has also been a member in the ICMF committee and he is also the chairman of the Texprocil's yarn committee.

Mr S.V. Arumugam, Managing Director of the Dindigul-based Shiva Texyarn Ltd, has been elected Deputy Chairman.

Dr K.V. Srinivasan, Managing Director of the Sree Narasimha Textiles Ltd is the Vice-Chairman of the association.
