Airlines Marketing - Strategy IA, Alliance Air launch drive to get customer feedback Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Sept. 26 WITH competition from the private players "making a dent" into its market share turning it a "squarely shared" market, the Indian Airlines and Alliance Air have launched a nationwide initiative seeking feedback from its customers on the in-flight catering services. "Earlier, our focus was only transportation. Now we are focussing on all aspects of flying with a view to upgrading the product. The market is squarely shared. It's survival of the fittest," Mr Naresh Chand, Director (In-Flight Services) of Indian Airlines, said, participating in the `food presentation' organised by the airlines here on Friday. The meeting was attended by some frequent flyers of the airlines. The national air carrier received both bouquets and brickbats from its customers, with some of them giving their piece of mind for the irritants while others complimenting it for good onboard services. Mr Yashvir Kumar, Regional Director (Southern Region) of the airlines, said the idea was to take constructive criticism from the clientele. "Earlier we used to review the services once every three months. But we thought we should meet our customers to get to know what they think about the food being serviced in flights," he said.
