Blood donation camp

Our Bureau

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Surgicals major, Terumo Penpol, is joining hands with the All Kerala Blood Donors Society (KEBS) to conduct a blood donation camp on Wednesday, nationally observed as blood donation day.

An official of Terumo Penpol said here that Mr K. Ramamoorthy, Secretary, Department of Health, would inaugurate the camp at 9.30 a.m. at the University College auditorium during a function in which Mr C. Padmakumar, Executive Director, Terumo Penpol, would deliver the keynote address. Mr M. K. Joseph, former Director-General of Police, will preside over.

KEBS is a non-profitable organisation registered under the Societies Act, Kerala, with the aim of promoting voluntary blood donation in the State. Apart from Penpol, it enjoys corporate patronage from the likes of State Bank of Travancore, the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre and the Sri Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST).
