New Delhi , Sept. 30

COMPUTING giant, Hewlett-Packard, on Tuesday said it would invest $ 100 million in Asia-Pacific to enhance its brand equity, a strategy that would see the company investing more in retail infrastructure in India.

Announcing the consumer-oriented plans of HP, company officials said here at a press conference that the company would offer a complete range of end-to-end solutions for the home user segment, such as home PCs, all-in-ones, scanners, desk jets and photo printers.

Prices of the new products would range from Rs 3,000 to 25,000, said Mr Ravi Aggarwal, Director, Imaging and Printing Group of HP India.

He said HP's new strategy also included investing in strategic retail partnerships with retailers in India. It would roll out `experience zones' in key retail outlets and offer assistance to partners to help them manage the presentation and layout of a product category with the stores.

HP would also introduce a suite of new products including home theatres, digital cameras, digital media receivers and other digital entertainment enablers.
