An optical shop in Kochi has put up an automated mannequin which wears and removes a pair of spectacles. Optical shops are on a modernisation spree in the city, thanks to increasing competition in the field. The latest entrant is Lawrence and Mayo. Several hundred brands of frames, glasses, lens and other accessories are available in the market now.
