Kalam to visit Hyderabad

THE President, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will mingle with about 400 children from six schools in the twin cities, answering their questions on October 3.

The President will spend about 45 minutes with the children, beginning at 9.30 am, at Indira Vidya Niketan High School at Lal Darwaza, according to Ms Mrig Sheela, Principal of the school.

The children who have been selected for the audience are drawn from Indira Vidyaniketan, Gita High School (Shalibanda), Dawn Model High School (Charminar), Srinivasa High School (Gowlipura), Sankara Vidyalay (Padmarao Nagar) and Central Public School.

Dr Kalam will later deliver the convocation address at NALSAR (National Academy of Legal Studies and Research), which will celebrate its first convocation on the university campus at Shameerpet near here.

During his visit, the President will inaugurate Indian Immunologicals Ltd's Research and Development Centre and Human Vaccine Production Facility at Gachibowli.

Later, he will inaugurate a three-day conference on Impact of New Biology on Justice Delivery System, jointly organised by NALSAR and the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics.

The President will arrive in the morning and leave for Delhi late in the evening after conferring the Pratibha awards on meritorious students at Lalitha Kala Thoranam.
