New Director for IICT

HYDERABAD: DR J.S. Yadav has been appointed as the new Director of the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad, a constituent of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

A well-known organic chemist, Dr Yadav has been elevated from his present position as Deputy Director. He succeeds Dr K.V. Raghavan, who retired from service on Wednesday, after a eight-year stint as the head of the IICT.

Dr Yadav is credited with the development of the pheromone application technology through integrated pest management (IPM) and eco-friendly practises, according to a press release from the IICT.
