Avello scouts for tech partners

Hyderabad , Oct. 5

AVELLO Limited, a UK-based enterprise of consultants, is bullish on Indian technology opportunities and is in the process of establishing office in India.

It is scouting for technology partners and plans to enter into strategic partnerships that will enable their Indian counterparts to leverage outsourcing business in the UK and Europe.

The Managing Director of Avello, Mr Sal Hatteea, told Business Line "We help provide the Indian corporations with an opportunity to serve European enterprises, particularly small and medium enterprises, with the resources, expertise and leverage the advantages that large multinational corporations enjoy both in terms of marketing muscle and presence."

Avello India will help Indian corporations partner enterprises in the UK and Europe.

Typically, medium and small technology companies find marketing and delivery of solutions a challenging task because of resource constraints.

"As consultants, who draw from our wide experience, we help them to both locate a centre in the UK, enable them find right management bandwidth.

Once they find that they are in a position to handle all tasks, we will hando ver the management and centre back to them. This will be a win-win situation for both the partners."

For Indian companies, who have good products or services, and the right level of funding, and who are in the process of expanding their operations to the UK and Europe, but don't know how to go about, Avello bring its consulting expertise.

The focus would be on information technology, telecom, business services among host of other areas, Mr Hatteea said.

With regard to business prospects in India, Mr Hatteea, who was earlier with GSI, one of Europe's largest system integrators based in Paris, said although the US had been outsourcing to India, amongst other countries, for some time, this had not been entirely true of Europe.

The UK and Europe are only in the initial stage of seeing this as an opportunity to reduce costs and be more competitive.

"There is a huge untapped market from companies who have not outsourced previously and are now keen to benefit from this model."

"As more and more SMEs seek ways to benefit from outsourcing, we plan to partner Indian companies in their effort to benefit from this business opportunity," he said.
