THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram-based Toonz Animation India Pvt Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr P. Jayakumar as the company's Chief Operating Officer.

He was, till recently, the company's Director-Operations, a company press release said. He will continue to oversee the company's operations in Thiruvananthapuram and Mumbai and will also be in-charge of the company's animation academy being established in Kolkata.

The company has also announced that Ms Tiersa Christine, its Studio Manager in Thiruvananthapuram, is being promoted as the Director of Production.
