ICICI Prudential opens branch in Vizag

VISAKHAPATNAM: ICICI Prudential, one of the leading private life insurance companies, is offering a variety of need-based insurance solutions and products to customers to increase its market share, Mr Mukesh Dhawan, National Agency Head, has said.

He was speaking here on Monday after inaugurating the second branch of the company in the State, the first being in Hyderabad. He said the company's policies were customised to suit the needs of individuals in different stages of life. The company is offering LifeTime, LifeLink and retirement plans such as LifeTime Pension and LifeLink Pension. Another special scheme called SmartKid is suited to provide for a child's higher education.

Mr Dhawan said Andhra Pradesh was emerging as a major market for the company that could command 30 per cent of the total market share of the private players and over 23 per cent of the total pension market.

The company has 1,200 ICICI Prudential advisers in the State. It has issued more than four lakh policies as on June 30, with a sum assured of nearly Rs 9,700 crore and a premium income of Rs 640 crore. It also has its branches in 32 cities and towns. - Our Bureau
