Supply Chain Management Logistics - Financial Performance Concor net rises 9 pc; to pay 110 pc dividend Our Bureau
New Delhi , Oct. 6 CONTAINER Corporation of India Ltd (Concor) has posted a net profit of Rs 272.85 crore on a turnover of Rs 1,483 crore for the year 2002-03. The company's board has declared a dividend of 110 per cent for the year. Concor's net profit was up nine per cent, while turnover rose 15 per cent over the previous year, according to a company release. Net profit for 2001-02 stood at Rs 249.5 crore on a turnover of Rs 1,286 crore.The Managing Director, Mr A.K. Kohli, on Monday presented a dividend cheque of Rs 45.10 crore to the Railways Minister, Mr Nitish Kumar. During the period, Concor handled about 1.4 million twenty-feet equivalent units (TEUs) container traffic, registering a growth of more than 12 per cent over the previous year, the release said.Concor has a dedicated network of 51 container terminals, of which four new terminals at Deongiri Node, Fatuah near Patna, New Guwahati, and Rewari in Haryana, were commissioned in 2002-2003, it added.
