Orchid bulk drug unit gets EU nod

Chennai , Oct. 6

ORCHID Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals announced on Monday that its bulk drug manufacturing facilities located at Alathur, near Chennai, have been successfully inspected by the European Directorate for Quality of Medicines (EDQM) and Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, UK.

In a media release, the company said following the inspection, it is awaiting EDQM's approval for pending product applications. At present, Orchid has three product approvals from EDQM.
