ALLOY Steels Plant (ASP) has registered substantial growth in its production during the first half of the current financial year 2003-'04.

According to a company press release, production of saleable steel has increased by 15 per cent to 52,799 tonnes from 46,014 tonnes in the previous corresponding period. Similarly, production of liquid steel has increased by 38 per cent to 72,186 tonnes from 52,199 tonnes. Production of finished steel increased by 17 per cent to 59,758 tonnes.

For the second half of the current financial year, ASP has set a target of producing 77,501 tonnes of saleable steel, 90,635 tonnes of finished steel and 85,774 tonnes of liquid steel.
