ABOA meet in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The central council of Associate Banks' Officers Association (ABOA) will meet here between October 18 and 20.

The association represents more than 18,000 officers working in the seven associate banks of State Bank of India.

According to Mr R. Sreeraj, General Convenor, around 1,000 delegates from all over the country is expected to attend the meeting.

The three-day conference will discuss issues such as salary revision of the officers, de-unionisation and the threat to the right to work, growing non-performing assets of the banks, voluntary retirement scheme and its after effect and the attempt to bring down the government equity in public sector banks to 33 per cent, Mr Sreeraj said.
