Rubber market turns bullish

THE physical rubber market was bullish on Monday. RSS 4 closed at Rs 52.50 as against Rs 51.50 on Saturday.

The covering group failed to procure enough raw material even after offering better quotations. The transactions were low as the inflow to the main marketing centres touched the bottom.

The futures market moved up sharply on Monday. November delivery was quoted at Rs 55.65 (Rs 54.02), December delivery at Rs 59.73 (Rs 56.93), January delivery at Rs 61 (Rs 57.94) and February delivery at Rs 61.30 (Rs 58.46) per kg for RSS 4.

The Monday spot market rates for RSS 4 on Monday were Rs 52.50 (Rs 51.50); RSS 5 Rs 50 (Rs 49.50); ungraded Rs 48.50 (Rs 48.50); ISNR 20 Rs 49.25 (Rs 48.50); latex 60% Rs 39 (Rs 39).
