HDFC offers new adjustable rate for housing loans

HOUSING Development Finance Corporation Ltd is offering adjustable rate home loans at 7.75 per cent for term of up to 20 years, the offer being open for a period of 10 days starting October 27.

The offer will be available at all HDFC offices, which will remain open for all 10 days of what the company calls `HDFC's Diwali Home Loan Bonanza'. The offices will be open on Saturdays and Sundays too.

Currently, HDFC's adjustable rate home loans are available at 8.75 per cent for the term of up to 5 years, 9 per cent for the 6 year to - 10 year term and 9.5 per cent for the 11-15 year term.

Under the bonanza scheme, processing fees have been waived as well, said a news release from the company. The scheme also offers free counselling on legal issues pertaining to property related matters
