Sahara, UNDP tie up for HIV campaign

SAHARA India Pariwar has tied-up with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to launch a nationwide campaign to fight the stigma and discrimination faced by the people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in the country.

This campaign, titled `Celebration of Lives - National campaign by artists against HIV/AIDS,' will bring together 25 leading painters of India, a company communiqué said. Launched today, the campaign will continue till the end of this month.

Painters such as Jatin Das, Madhavi and Manu Parikh, Bulbul Sharma, Achutan Kuldur, Sunil Das, Rajiv Lochan, Surya Prakash and Sanjay Bhattacharya will participate in the campaign. Their works will be subsequently exhibited at New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bangalore as a travelling exhibition.
