The Hindu Business Line : Ramanathapuram credit plan

MADURAI: The potential-linked credit plan for Ramanathapuram district prepared by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) for 2004-05 has projected a credit outlay of Rs 284.84 crore.

The major share of allocation, Rs 93 crore, has gone to other priority sectors, followed by Rs 84.48 crore for crop loans, Rs 40.90 crore for non-farm sector and Rs 30.46 crore for agriculture and allied activities.

Mr Murali Mohan, Asst. General Manager (Nabard), said that preference would be given for more investment in watershed development and land development in the district.

The plan was released at a standing committee meeting recently.
