Channels and Franchises Maruti implementing dealer management system Our Bureau
New Delhi , Nov. 5 MARUTI Udyog Ltdis implementing a dealer management system (DMS) that would help its dealers improve their performance and service customers better. The DMS will let the dealers to have access to updated information from Maruti and a real time view of their operations processes by logging on to a central data centre, a company statement said here. Maruti is implementing the system in collaboration with Wipro Infotech,. Wipro Infotech, as the core IT partner of Maruti, will be responsible for implementation, networking, training and subsequent sustenance of the DMS. Dealerships will get alerts from the system whenever they are falling short of performance norms in areas such as level of customer complaints handling and sales. It will also help dealers monitor key performance indicators such as inventory, sales, inquiries and debts. The security features will be controlled at the data centre along with a disaster recovery site for backup, Maruti said. Apart from dealer integration with a central database, the DMS also serves as a knowledge repository from where dealerships can access information on customer schemes, product features and price lists.
