BANGALORE: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a three-day Rural Networking Forum in Mysore from Saturday to promote products of self-help groups (SHGs) and build rural-urban market linkages.

The exhibition-cum-conference will have participation of SHGs from different parts of the country, including Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan. The event will also have a workshop for the SHG women to facilitate interaction among themselves to help them forge links and also with SMEs for outsourcing roles as producers, processors and suppliers. About 5,000 SHGs are expected to participate in the event, which includes 400 from Chennai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Nilgiris. About 1,500 women will be participating from Mysore alone.
