AP Electricity staff strike notice

HYDERABAD: The State Committee of the United Electricity Employees Union (UEEU), affiliated to the Centre of Indian Trade Unions, has served a strike notice on the Chairman and Managing Director the Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Ltd on Monday.

The notice stated that UEEU would call all the contract workers, bill collectors and those working on contract basis in the power distribution company to go strike from any date from November 25 for settlement of their demands.

The demands of UEEU included filling up of all existing vacancies with contract employees, hike in wages, extension of credit card facility to all contract employees and appointment of the dependants of contract labourers who died in accidents.
