Yash Tech opens SAP centre

YASH Technologies, an IT consulting firm with a development centre in Hyderabad, on Monday announced that it has set up a SAP Competency Centre for Enterprise Resource Planning here that will focus on SAP implementation and support to its global customers.

At present, the company has a team of 20 professionals working on SAPplatform; the strength will increase to 50 by end of 2004.

Mr Vinod K. Samanthula, General Manager, Sales and Marketing of Yash Asia Pacific, in a statement said, "We are a strong SAP services company in the US and with that experience we are offloading work of basic remote maintenance of our existing Fortune clients in North America".

"We are targeting the newer markets in small and medium businesses, higher education and research and breweries segments in India and the Asia-Pacific region. We have a unique business model for higher education and research and are in talks with two universities in implementing SAP competency centres," he said.
