Mumbai , Nov. 10

AS the race for the Rs 900-crore third container terminal project at Jawaharlal Nehru Port hots up, a delegation representing Temasek, the holding company of the Port of Singapore Authority (PSA), is visiting Mumbai to finalise the partners of its consortium.

Ms Ho Ching, a senior representative of the Singapore Government-controlled Temasek, is already in Mumbai, with other senior officials from PSA scheduled to land in the city within the next two days.

Informed sources said PSA, which at present heads a two-member consortium with ABG Heavy Industries Ltd as its partner in the race for the box terminal project, is in talks with Bombay Dyeing group for a stake in the consortium. The group may pick up a 15-per cent stake in the consortium, the sources said.

The PSA-led consortium, in which ABG Industries has a 5-per cent stake, is one of the 10 companies in the race for the project.

The PSA officials are scheduled to have a meeting with the JNPT chairman, Mr Ravi Budhiraja, on Wednesday.
