Our Bureau

Chennai , Nov. 14

TOY maker Funskool plans to launch seven more toys before the end of the year. The company, a joint venture between MRF and Hasbro of the US, would then have put into the market as many as 70 new toys this year.

Trivial Pursuit, a popular quiz game, for which the company has acquired the licence from Han Abbott International, will be one of the new products, Mr David Daniel Selvaraj, Marketing Manager, Funskool (India) Ltd, said.

The game, which is meant for the whole family with questions listed under five heads, has been devised by quizmaster Derek O'Brien. The other board game is "What's the right word" which is similar to the TV game show that used to be popular sometime ago. These games are meant for kids between the age of 8 and 12.

The company will also be coming out with toys such as Beetle Race. In the collectible category, Funskool is coming out with a line of four `Action Man' toys that would encourage imaginative play.
