Knitwear & Hosiery Hosiery makers meet to discuss cotton yarn price rise G Gurumurthy
Coimbatore , Nov. 15 THE Tirupur-based cotton hosiery manufacturers body has called an emergent meeting of various knitwear manufacturers associations on November 17 to discuss the issue of rising cotton yarn prices. The meeting is to be held under the aegis of the South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA) for which the representatives of other local knitwear/knitwear related industrial bodies such as the Knit Cloth Manufacturers Association (KniCMA), the Tirupur Export Knitwear Manufacturers Association (TEKMA) and the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) have been invited. According to SIHMA sources, the Monday meeting would deliberate on the crisis caused by the increase in yarn prices and its impact on the hosiery producers. The meeting is also expected to go into the issue of revising the prices of their finished products
