The Hindu Business Line : Kerala Handloom panel recast

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State-level monitoring committee of the Handloom Advisory Council has been revamped with the Industries Minister as Chairman and Principal Secretary, Industries, as the Vice-Chairman. The Director, Handlooms and Textiles, would be the convenor.

Among members on the committee are President and Managing Director, Hantex, representative of the Ministry of Finance, Chairman, Handloom Development Corporation, Managing Director, Weavers Services Centre (Kannur), Executive Director, National Council for Development of Cooperation (NCDC), Regional Director, Kannur Textile Committee, Mr P. K. Gurudasan (CITU), Mr K. Suresh Babu (INTUC) and Mr C. Divakaran (AITUC).
