The Hindu Business Line : Special rocket launch

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) has invited retired employees of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to witness the special RH 200 rocket launch at 4 p.m. on November 21 at the Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station (TERLS) here.

This launch is being dedicated in commemoration of the first launch of a Nike Apache rocket on November 21, 1963, from Thumba, which marked the beginning of the space programme in the country, a spokesman of the VSSSC said here. Those who are desirous of witnessing the special launch should bring along their contributory health service scheme for being allowed entry into the TERLS.
