Dull trading in rubber market

THE rubber market remained passive on Tuesday as buyers and sellers turned cautious. Sheet rubber RSS 4 remained flat at Rs 53 on Tuesday, while ungraded rubber lost 50 paise and latex gained 50 paise in a mixed trend.

Arrivals narrowed as the price lost charm. Transactions were also on a low key.

The Bangkok market continued its downtrend with RSS 3 quoting at Rs 59.28 against Rs 59.85 a kg on Monday.

The futures market ruled weak with December delivery quoting at Rs 54.39 (54.50), January at Rs 56.35 (56.42) February at Rs 58.19.( 58.23) March at Rs 59.90 ( 59.46) and April delivery at Rs 60.59 (60.64) per kg for RSS 4.

The market opened weak but improved marginally on favourable global market reports
